Executive Board Members

The members of CCFA's executive board are the dedicated people who work behind the scenes to execute, plan, and manage all of CCFA's events. To get to know the members a little better, they answered a couple questions about themselves below. You will hear their career goals, why they love being apart of CCFA, and you might even snag a bit of solid fashion advice. Enjoy!



Emma Pierson - President
Grade: Sophmore
Major: Fashion Business
Career Goals: Hopefully something with Fashion Show Production
Hometown: Zionsville, Indiana
Favorite thing about CCFA: How unique everyone's personalities are, and how welcoming everyone has been to me!
Favorite Designers: Oscar De La Renta, Marc Jacobs, Alice and Olivia
Favorite Places to Shop: Top Shop, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters
Your best piece of fashion advice: Take Chances! Wear the unexpected, but always be confident and comfortable.
The article of clothing that you can’t live without, & Why? Just in general all of my jackets, I have an obsession with coats. They add the perfect last touch to any outfit.
Describe your overall sense of style? Classic looks with an unexpected touch. All black with red lips, or simple silhouettes with crazy tall heels. I'm all over the place, but I always stay comfortable.
Who do you get fashion inspiration from? Everything! Magazines, Streetwear..just all of my surroundings
You’d rather be dead then caught wearing _? Flared Jeans with Flats
Least favorite trend? Lots of piercings
Favorite Music/Band? Bon Iver/The Paper Kites
Your favorite spot in Chicago? Friends Sushi




Sinclaire Fonville - Vice President/PR Chair
Grade: Sophmore
Major: Marketing Communications; Fashion Business minor
Career Goals: To work with advertising at a PR firm - ultimately I want to do something that will help people

Your best piece of fashion advice: Stay true to your personal style.  Make sure your style reflects you!
The article of clothing that you can’t live without, & Why? Leggings; they're comfortable, chic and can pretty much look great with anything
Who do you get fashion inspiration from? Instagram looks, my favorite celebs, new hip trends I see in the street
Describe your overall sense of style: I love to mix classics with chic new trends. I'm a huge fan of clean, sleek, cuttings edge collars, buttons and zippers. I love angles
You’d rather be dead than caught wearing? Crocs or Birkenstocks
Favorite Music/Bands?  Sade, John Legend, Sampha, AlunaGeorge, Aloe Blacc, Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean
Favorite spot in Chicago: Lurie Garden in Millenium Park; it’s beautiful in summer and is a nice thinking spot 



Aonna Barksdale - Graphic Designer

Grade: Sophomore
Major: Graphic Design
Career Goals: Work as a successful freelance graphic designer and art director while running a eminent beauty blog.
Hometown: East Chicago, Indiana
Favorite thing about CCFA: The combination of different styles and personalities coming together to form a great organization!
Favorite Designers: I don’t have any favorite designers.
Favorite Places to Shop: Forever 21 and Marshalls 
Your best piece of fashion advice: Don’t pay attention to trends or what everyone else is wearing. Dress yourself according to you and be confident doing just that.
The article of clothing that you can’t live without, & Why? I’ve become a sucker for oversized sweater. I love to dress them up or down and layer them. Sweater are so comfortable and versatile whether it’s a cardigan or a pullover, I just love them!
Who do you get fashion inspiration from? Fashion bloggers on Instagram and Pinterest and even just walking down the street I see so many people that inspire me to try new things in my wardrobe.
You’d rather be dead then caught wearing _? Striped leggings
Least favorite trend? Wedge sneakers
Favorite Music/Band? I love EDM music right now, it just makes my soul jump.
Your favorite spot in Chicago? Anywhere outside, especially during the summer and fall.
